CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
LEVEL 1 : For students ready to embrace Meditation as a part of their daily Hatha Yoga practice. All levels welcome.
LEVEL 2: For students with an existing Hatha Yoga practice that includes Asana, Pranayama and Meditation. Not suitable for beginners.

Hatha Yoga & Meditation
A traditional Hatha Yoga practice including Asana, Pranayama and Meditation. Each class will work with a combination of dynamic and static Asanas, often infused with targeted breath-work to stabilize the mind, increase vitality and tap into the hidden power that exists within all of us. All classes will culminate in seated Meditation, which is considered the most important aspect of every Yoga practice.

Moon/Mind
Practices to purify and activate the Ida Nadi, which is responsible for the functioning of our mental energies. The goal of this practice is to make the mind clear, calm, stable, single-pointed and highly discerning. A stable mind is required for working with Prana, which is the next stage of Hatha Yoga practice.

Sun/Prana
Practices to purify and activate the Pingala Nadi, which is responsible for vitalizing our body, strengthening the immune system, inspiring the mind and deepening our connection to Prana. Pranic sensitivity and Pranic control are required for working with Kundalini, which is the final stage of Hatha Yoga practice.

Fire/Kundalini
Practices to achieve Hatha Yoga’s ultimate goal: the fusion of our Solar (HA) and Lunar (THA) energies at the Manipura Chakra. This fusion creates an inner heat that uncoils the dormant Kundalini energy from the lower Chakras and transforms it into power. As inner Fire awakens, the Sushumna Nadi activates, which is our pathway to higher states of Meditation, the core essence of Yoga. (Please note: Fire classes have no connection to the modern system of Kundalini Yoga).

Yin Yoga
A meditative, deep-tissue practice that uses long-held, passive floor poses to enhance joint mobility and prepare the body for the physical and mental stillness of Hatha Yoga.

Yoga Nidra
Referred to as ‘Yogic Sleep’, is a guided, restorative Meditation practice performed lying down that relaxes the body and places the mind in a state of awareness between waking and sleeping. Yoga Nidra has many functions, such as deepening rest, healing the body, improving memory, increasing will-power and spiritual transformation.

Bhakti Yoga
A group practice of chanting Mantras to activate the energy-body, move the mind towards Meditation and connect in with a feeling of devotion. Suitable for all levels.

Qi Gong
Yan Shou Gong is an Authentic Qi Gong practice traditionally taught to only the most senior monks in the Southern Shaolin Temple. Each of the Yan Shou Gong sets condense the best practices of the Qi Gong arts, making them easy to learn, quick to practice and efficient in regard to producing real internal energetic results. Yan Shou Gong teaches the practitioner the subtle skills of Grounding, Rooting and Centering, plus energy sensitivity skills, which are powerful tools to relieve stress, anxiety, low energy, poor health and depression.
